Converting to e-Commerce
Overview
HBF Textiles is dedicated to providing the very best in fabric, design and service to their customers. With technology in this new era, the means of purchasing were evolving.

I was part of an ambitious project team to redesign their samples only ordering site into a full blown eCommerce solution.

Responsibilities
Translate user needs and into a seamless design through:
- conducting competitive analysis
- creating interactive wireframes
- transforming lo-fidelity designs to complete visual designs

Problem
Interior designers have a difficult time purchasing product when they find something they like.

The previous solution only allowed for ordering samples of the material. When Interior designers and their clients finally decided on a particular textile they liked, they then had to find a way contact corporate to purchase product.

Our goal for this project was to make it easy to receive our textiles.

Solution
When someone fell in love with our fabrics, they had to find a way to get in contact with us to place orders. We wanted to enable our customers, designers, users, and third party service providers access to our textiles in as easy as click, click, complete order.

We created an eCommerce experience for anyone that works with textiles, especially interior designers

Our high level goals were to:
- Create a quick and easy way to order textiles for any size project
- Give customers more flexibility to build out projects
- Provide a platform for innovation and creativity to flourish
